  • What is Glamping?

Glamping is glamorous camping. Picture a large white wall tent perched on a platform overlooking the rapids of the River. Surrounded by nature, you are enjoying all the amenities you would find in an upscale hotel suite.

Known as “Glamping,” glamorous camping is a hot new trend in weddings. Glamping at The Music Camp is an over-the-top experience you will cherish forever. Imagine taking in the beauty of the Pacolet River from your large white canvas wall tent perched on a massive platform high above the rapids. The inside of your tent will be carpeted, the walls and ceiling draped in decorative fabrics. Each tent is beautifully appointed in plush furniture. Relax with your new spouse on the observation deck outside, or plunge into your queen size bed with plush thread count, and let the soothing rapids lull you to sleep. The Pearl, our newly constructed Gypsy Wagon, is just a few steps from the tent, equipped with a flushing toilet and an adjacent hot shower. Wake up in the morning and enjoy a short stroll to The Elizabeth Cotten Stage for fresh coffee and tea, local baked goods, and an enticing selection of seasonal fruit.

  • How late at night may amplified music be broadcast?

Spartanburg County reserves the right to impose a sound ordinance starting nightly at 9:30pm. The Music Camp self imposes a curfew on amplified music at 11:00PM In special instances music may be played at a reduced volume until 12:00am midnight. Traditionally, we have not experienced wide ranging noise complaints, as long as the music is kept at a reasonable decibel and ends by midnight. You may petition the county for a variance on the noise ordinance. You can find information on this process here. No matter the variance, out of respect for our neighbors we ask that amplified music be finished by 12:00am.

  • What kinds of utilities and amenities can be found at The Music Camp?

The Music Camp has electricity and Spartanburg City Water. Throughout the tree line in our main field and the riverfront camping areas, recycled traffic lights illuminate the forest canopy. Water and power are available throughout the campground, and near the ceremony and reception groves. There are 110, 30, 50, and 60-amp outlets available in the main field to accommodate food and craft vendors. There is a three bin stainless steel sink, a commercial ice machine, and merch box (for storing ice) located in the covered vendor area. There is plenty of flat and shaded riverfront camping with electricity and water nearby.

  • What about rain? Are there covered areas to get out of weather?

Yes. There is a 60’ x 80’ covered shelter facing the Greenfield Stage in the main field. 500 people can stay out of the sun and rain. There is an additional 20’ x 60’ covered area perfect for foodservice and dining, or showcasing vendors and artists.

On the river level reception field we have a 40’x40′ structure called The Featherston Pavilion. It features stone columns and a concrete floor. The Featherston can accommodate upto 120 guests seated for dinner. If you will host more than 120 guests we highly recommend renting a large tent to keep you guests shaded and dry.
